My student teaching with Chicago Public Schools was where my belief in art education met the realities of the classroom. At Hayt Elementary I taught pre-K through 8th grade, and at Sullivan High School I worked with students in grades 9 through 12, learning from two mentor teachers along the way.

This experience spanned the full K–12 range, deepening my skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and adapting instruction for learners of all ages—offering themes, materials, and techniques, and inviting each student to find their own way in.
